Now a Days survival of man ,Industry,commercial organisation without electricity is impossible. The conventional sources for the generation of Electical energy is such as Thermal  Power,Hydro electric power,Nuclear Power and uncoventional sources such as Tidle power,Wind power etc. This Branch gives the knowledge of generation ,transmission & distrubution of Electric Power.  Also there is a study of different devices  used for the above purposes such as Transfomer,A.C motor,D.C motors, Generators ,Power Cables and wires.

This branch also gives the knowledge about the advanced technology such as   P.C Based, Microprocessor based,P.L.C based devices used to control the speed of motors, minimise the losses in distrubution of power, to increase safety factor etc.

Our Department is having well equipped Labs as follows:

1) Electrical Machine Lab.                                                                                                   2) Electronics & Electrical Measurement Lab.                                                              3) Basic Electrical & Electronics Lab.                                                                             4) Electrical Workshop Lab.                                                                                               5) Computer  Application in Power Lab.
